The Vergara family moved from Cundinamarca to Huila in 1990 and founded Finca Las Flores there. Their journey into specialty coffee was launched in 2006 by Nubia Ayur. Today, their sons Diego and Jhoan are dedicated to the specialty coffee business, while their father Elhilberto handles the commercial aspects. In 2023, they planted 18,000 new coffee trees at altitudes of 1,700 to 1,790 meters. Jhoan Vergara, only 30 years old, has achieved remarkable recognition by winning first place in the Coffee Producer and Roaster category at Master of Coffee South Korea 2019 and in the Process Coffee category at Top RoastColombia 2022.
